日前， 伊頓公學官宣開啟2024伊頓Orwell Award獎學金計劃！ 一場關于榮譽、金錢和學術的競爭戰即將打響！
對于很多中國留學生而言，英國頂級名校的13+入學考試已經夠難的了，從眾多伊頓獎學金申請者中脫穎而出的獎學金獲獎者們又該是何等優秀呢？

2024伊頓Orwell獎學金正式開啟！
日前，伊頓公學已經官宣正式開啟2024伊頓Orwell Award獎學金計劃！
什么是Orwell Award獎學金計劃呢？
Orwell Award以喬治·奧威爾的名字命名，喬治·奧威爾曾就讀于伊頓公學，并作為伊頓公學學生獲得過經濟援助。 奧威爾獎的獲得者在伊頓公學的整個教育過程中無需支付任何費用，并獲得津貼，使其能夠在學校生活中發揮充分和有益的作用。
Orwell Award還有另外兩個部分，即6th Form音樂獎和MCM戲劇獎。每年有12 名才華橫溢的男孩獲得Orwell Award。
Orwell Award與許多其他獎學金不同， 除了評估申請人的學術潛力外，獲得獎學金的標準還包括申請人的個人情況。因此，伊頓會根據特定標準對申請人進行評估。
2024年9月入圍的Orwell Award申請現已開放。申請截止日期為2023年9月22日。
值得注意的是，除Orwell Award之外，伊頓還設有多項學術獎學金，優中選優，頒發給學術和綜合素質都頂級優秀的學生。
優中選優，獎勵優秀
伊頓公學不同升學階段的獎學金設置有很大不同。
● 13+入學階段的獎學金考試包括：
King’s Scholarships；
New Foundation Scholarship；
Music Awards；
● 6th Form階段的獎學金考試包括：
Orwell Awards；
MCM Drama Award；
Sixth Form Music Award；
獎學金考試難度更大，獲得伊頓獎學金的學生學術能力都頂級優秀。以13+入學的King’s Scholarships為例，其考試的真題是這樣的（私信學姐微信： LiuXxue365獲取真題答案）：

伊頓公學獎學金考試的難度較大，拿到入學offer或者獎學金offer可不是那么容易的……
英國私校獎學金，競爭激烈難度大！
英國頂級私校獎學金要求都比較高。
尤其是如伊頓、哈羅這類聲名卓著的英國頂尖私校。
比如伊頓公學13+入學申請中的國王獎學金（ King’s Scholarships）。 伊頓根據13歲入學男孩的學術能力評估獎學金獲得者。每年大約有14名學生獲得伊頓國王獎學金。
伊頓國王獎學金考試旨在尋找最有能力的候選人，因此其要求非常高。 大多數考試試卷都有廣泛的出題范圍，具有出色學術能力的男孩需抓住機會證明自己；考官熱衷于獎勵表現出個人能力的男孩，即使只是有限領域。 每位獎學金申請者必須完成幾篇必修Paper（目前為英語、創意寫作、數學 A、科學和綜合 I）以及至少3篇選修Paper（法語、拉丁語、希臘語、數學 B、綜合 II 和歷史地理神學）等科目的考試。

可見想要獲得英國私校獎學金有多難……
申請英國私校， 申請者基本都需要參加11+、13+或者16+入學考試，僅僅是入學考試本身對于中國申請者而言也是很有挑戰性的。
英國私校申請并非易事，英國私校申請要求高，入學競爭激烈。建議申請者至少提前一至兩年開始規劃申請，為可能發生的變化空出準備時間。
